Bespoke furniture

Our passion and commitment to deliver unique pieces of effortless elegance.

Furniture collection ‘ANATA’ was originally created in conjunction with a commission for a private residence in Eastern Crete; yet soon it developed its own life through its unparalleled combination of functionality and effortless elegance. Block722 carefully moulded the series infusing it with the studio’s signature contemporary, organic minimalism. Composed of eight designs that comprise a set of stools, cabinets, and coffee and dining tables, this family of furniture blends craft and modern design. Handmade in Greece, bridging the traditional techniques with contemporary construction methods, the pieces are powerful through their simplicity. At the same time, the use of luxurious, natural materials, including a variety of wood species, marble, and metal, elevate the pared down designs into a series of sculptural, sensual objects that invite the touch.

An outdoor piece that feels solid yet elegant, ‘OW’ is a play on the dining table’s archetypal form. Created in durable, quality Burma teak, whose light oil treatment and natural properties make it perfect for outdoors use. The design features a simple, rectangular top with legs that are formed with a slight twist. Those are set on the opposite sides of the table’s long form. From some angles, it looks like there are only two, large, rounded elements that hold the top – yet upon closer inspection, each of these legs are gracefully sliced in two. Strong and sharp, yet proud in its playfulness, the table will age gracefully as the teak wood’s colour changes over time.

Side table ‘B’ plays with the idea of balance. Created as the juxtaposition of a monolithic and heavy base set against an extra fine top element, this is a piece that thrives through contrast. The table was designed by Block722 in Athens, bridges traditional techniques and modern construction methods. This marriage of tradition and modernity is evident in the product’s tactile nature, classic choice of material – solid oak – and dynamic shapes and treatment. The piece was dyed black, using a satin varnish – sitting in the realm between the absolute black that pure matte offers and the shimmering nature of a gloss style – so that it can ever so gently reflect the light. These reflections help to further define both the table’s own shapes and its relationship with its surroundings. Created for a private client, the side table features a cantilevered top can easily slide over a sofa or chaise longue, complementing the seating in an elegant and functional way.
