Block722architects+ is an Athens and Stockholm based architecture practice. It was founded in 2009 by Sotiris Tsergas, Katja Margaritoglou and Konstantinos Korfiatis.
Block722 works in the architectural field, fully encompassing the interior design and construction fields through Block722architects+, managing a wide variety of projects from the planning state throughout completion. The practice’s expertise in the complete project management of residential, retail and business projects is showcased in the portfolio. The office’s individual and collective experience ensures the collaboration with competent and specialized suppliers and craftsmen, guaranteeing the meticulous and accurate realization of the architectural concept. A close relationship with the client is of the utmost importance to the practice, in order to ensure a prosperous collaboration and the best possible final result.
Block722 was founded in the heart of Athens, on Patission 57, one of the most densely populated areas of the capital. The intense cultural and ethnic diversity of the area have enhanced the practice’s relation to the city’s reality and constant adaptation to new and interesting design elements. The office’s location, urban block 722, becomes more than a city planning number – it evolves into an element of identity.
Sotiris has been practicing architecture for more than 15 years. His body of work includes a big variety of high-end private projects, residences, hotels, offices and retail stores. He graduated from the National Technical University of Athens in 2000. In 2003 he became project manager of the Olympic hockey stadium in Athens. In 2005 he created his own architecture office and in 2009 he co-founded Block722 architects along with Katja and Konstantinos.
Katja graduated in 2003 from the Vakalo College of Art and Design in Athens. In 2004 she started her own studio, taking on both small and large scale projects. In 2009 she co-founded Block722 architects, along with Sotiris and Konstantinos. Today Katja’s main focus is to develop and direct the design concept that has become the trademark of Block722 architects.
